Lorraine M. Chretien

Lorraine M. Chretien, 84, affectionately known as "Babe," peacefully passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Fall River.

Lorraine was predeceased by her devoted husband Roland G. Chretien, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.

For many years, Lorraine dedicated herself to her role as a machine operator with S & G. Felt Co.

Lorraine leaves two sons, Joseph Chretien and his wife Nora Harris, and Brian Chretien and his wife Karen, and was the mother of the late Michael Chretien.

Lorraine was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, creating a bond that will last a lifetime. The laughter and joy she shared with Megan Gosslin (husband Jeff), Kimberly McDonugh (husband Shawn), Jessica Meyer (husband Mike), Danielle Chretien, Samuel Chretien, Rachel Woodward (husband Adam), and Katlin Chretien (companion Matthew Mota), will forever remain in their hearts. Adding to her legacy, Lorraine was also a proud great-grandmother, showering Ava, Blake, Lannie, Mikey, and Oakley with endless love.

She is also survived by four siblings: Alfred "Pat" Gallant, Rita Camara, Donald Gallant, and Jeannie Marshalett, 

Her siblings who have passed are Imelda ""Maggie" Smith, Annette Morin, Henry Gallant, Roland Gallant, Raymond Gallant, and Normand Gallant.  She was the daughter of Alfred and Eva (Bilodeau) Gallant.

In honoring Lorraine's life, friends and family are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, at 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA. 

Her funeral will take place Thursday, January 9 at 8:45 AM from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at Saint Catherine of Siena, 74 Simmons Rd., Little Compton, RI.
