Lorraine (Gagnon) Dupont

Mrs. Lorraine Dupont passed away on September 4th, one day after her 90th birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Rene Edward Dupont. She was the daughter of the late Armand and Blanche (Ouelette) Gagnon.

Mrs. Dupont is survived by her beloved children, Michael (Melinda) Dupont and Diane (John) Martini. She was the proud grandmother of Amelia Cora Dupont and Alexander Rene Dupont, and welcomed every opportunity to brag about their accomplishments and to talk about the great people they have become.

She also had an extended family that brought her joy; granddaughter Tara Martini and great granddaughters Cadyn Eve Teixeira and Brynn Rose Martini. In her last weeks, her home was filled with the sounds of children and laughter, which she appreciated.

Mrs. Dupont was an avid gardener and enjoyed keeping her yard full of flowers throughout the seasons. She also loved reading and always had a book in her lap. She attended the Senior Center where she made many friends and was constantly winning BINGO games.

In the last months Mrs. Dupont fondly reminisced about her siblings and recalled many events that happened throughout their lives. She was predeceased by her brothers Roland (Laurette) Gagnon, Raymond (Madeline) Gagnon and sisters Diana (Richard) Cleaves and Doris (Alvin) Davis.

Mrs. Dupont leaves behind many nieces and nephews that she was so proud of and who loved her dearly. She had many friends that she cherished. She will forever be loved and missed by her family and friends.

Her visitation will be held Thursday, September 7, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, September 8, with a Funeral Service at 10:00 A.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
