Lorraine L. (Gauthier) Bernier, 79, of Shawomet Ave., Somerset, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center.
She was the wife of Rudolph B. "Pete" Bernier.
Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Lucy B. (Mercier) Gauthier, she lived in Tiverton for 37 years and in Somerset for the past 20 years.
She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of St. Louis de France Parish, Swansea.
Besides her husband of 59 years she is survived by
3 daughters, Jeanne Dallaire and her husband Arthur of Swansea, Susan Koerner of South Kingston, RI and Diane Trepanier and her husband Allan of Westport, MA;
2 sons, Rev. Paul Bernier, Rector of St. Mary Cathedral, Fall River and Alan Bernier and his wife Diana of Tiverton;
2 sisters, Imelda Desrosiers and Pauline St.Laurence, both of West Palm Beach, Florida;
a brother, Eugene R. "Pete" Gauthier of Tiverton;
10 grandchildren, Nicole Colon, Melissa Monte, Elizabeth Singh, Jason Bernier, Alyssa Koerner, Emily Koerner, Sarah Bernier, Samantha Koerner, Johnathan Bernier and Samuel Bernier;
4 great-grandchildren Allyson Colon, Jacob and Abigail Monte and Matthew Singh and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Richard Koerner.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM.
Burial, Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.
Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
