Loridas J. Jolivet, Jr.

Loridas J. Jolivet, Jr., 96, of Fall River, husband of Emilie (Vautrin) Jolivet, passed away Monday, October 16, 2017.

He was employed by Davis Screen Printing and Adas Israel Synagogue, Fall River and Epic Industries, New Bedford. A Navy veteran of WW II, he served aboard the USS Meade, a Destroyer and the USS Kevin Whiting, a Fuel Ship in the South Pacific. He loved the ocean, enjoyed stamp collecting and fresh water fishing and cherished time spent with his family.

Besides his wife of 66 years, he leaves two sons, Paul A. Jolivet and David B. Jolivet and his wife Denise, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Adam, Benjamin, Lauren Jolivet-Reney (Steve), Aaron and Emilie; a sister, Florence Dore of Fall River; nieces and nephews. He was the grandfather of the late David Joseph Jolivet; the son of the late Loridas and Laura (Dudevoir) Jolivet and the brother of the late Constance Bousquet and Normand Jolivet.

His funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard Church, Assonet. Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations may be made to Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., Fall River MA 02720. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com.
