Lionel M. "Leo" Bento

November 23, 1925 — November 16, 2007

Lionel M. "Leo" Bento, 81, founder of Milk Transportation, Inc., of Cook St., Fall River, formerly of Tiverton, husband of Doris (Pelletier) Bento, died Friday, November 16, 2007. The son of the late Mariano and Maria (Machado) Bento, he lived in Tiverton most of his life and in Fall River for the past 35 years. An Army veteran of WW II, he owned and operated Milk Transportation, Inc. for many years. Besides his wife of 35 years, he leaves a sister, Rose Amaral of Tiverton and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Mary Boyd Doucet, Irene Grota and Manuel, Frank, Mariano, Antone, John, Joseph and Edward Bento. His funeral will be held Monday at 10:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Flowers welcomed.
