Linda C. Brown

Linda C. Brown, 60, of Fall River, died Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. She was the companion of Richard Martel, Jr. of Fall River. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Merton A. and Florence V.(Grantham) Brown, she lived in Swansea during her childhood and in Fall River most of her life. A teacher at the Westport Elementary School System, she retired in 2002 due to illness. She graduated from Case High School, Swansea and earned her bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College. Besides her companion of 20 years, she leaves a brother, Leslie Brown (and his wife Paula) of Palmer, Alaska, her companion's children, Amanda Martel and Richard Martel III, both of Fall River, a nephew, Vincent Brown of California, and cousins Avis and Jesse Miller of Winterhaven, FL, Cynthia and Ralph Laurent of Plaquemine, LA, Nancy and Everett Tremblay of Swansea, Kenneth and Michelle Brown of Somerset, and her beloved cat "Kathica". Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:45 AM from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River, with a funeral service in St. Luke's Church, 315 Warren St. Fall River at 10:30 AM.
