Lillian B. (Allaire) Shannon, of 111 Borden St., Fall River, formerly of Bay St., widow of John N. Shannon, died Thursday, January 1, 2009.
A graduate of Dominican Academy, she was a Fall River School Department teacher's assistant.
She leaves 11 children, Donna Carney (husband Patrick) of Somerset, John P. Shannon (wife Christine), Richard Shannon (wife Deborah), Matthew Shannon (wife Kathleen), Donald Shannon and Paul Shannon (wife Donna) all of Swansea, Dennis Shannon (wife Sherrilyn) of Dartmouth, Michael Shannon (wife Rebecca) of Kentucky, Deborah Valentine (husband David) of No. Dartmouth, Joseph Shannon (wife Denise) of Westport, MA and Dorie Carvalho (husband Michael)of Fall River; 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her best friend Pauline Rosa.
She was the daughter of the late Blanche (Roy) Allaire and the sister of the late Maurice Allaire.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
