Lillian V. (Desrosiers) Givens, 83, of 2446 Highland Ave, Fall River, formerly of 140 Essex St. Fall River, died Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the widow of Elmer D. Givens.
Born in Swansea, the daughter of the late Edmond and Victoria (Gosselin) Desrosiers, she lived in Swansea for most of her life, and in Fall River for the past 42 years.
She was an avid bowler and line dancer.
She is survived by 5 sons, James Givens, William Givens, Jack Givens and Joseph Givens, all of Fall River, and Roland Givens of Marianna, Florida;
two daughters, Donna Miska of North Dartmouth and Doris Bedard of Westport, a sister, Anna Gagne of Riverside, RI a brother George Desrosiers of Somerset;
grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Victoria Givens and the sister of the late Wilfred Desrosiers.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River. Burial, Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
Visitation Friday from 4 to 8 PM Large parking area and barrier-free entrance to rear of funeral home.
