Leonie (Fournier) Pelletier-Chagnon

Leonie (Fournier) Pelletier-Chagnon, 101, a professional seamstress, of Fall River, wife of the late Joseph Roland Pelletier and Louis O. Chagnon, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022.  She received recognition from the Knights of Columbus for her years of dedication in beautifying the grounds of Notre Dame Church. In 2003, Leonie was awarded the Marian Medal.

She was the mother of City Councilor Leo O. Pelletier (wife Debra), Michael Pelletier (wife Madeline), Madeleine Yarletts (husband Donald), Muriel Martel (late husband Gerald), Denise Deller (husband Jeffrey), Laurette Howarth (husband John) and the late Raymond Pelletier (late wife Jacqueline) and the late Ronald Pelletier (wife Patricia); Leonie was the last survivor of 16 siblings.

She also leaves 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren,great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So.Main St.Fall River.  Funeral Mass Monday at 10:00 AM at St.Joseph Church, No.Main St. (Please meet at church).  Burial is private.
