Leona Perez

Leona Perez, 58, of Swansea, daughter of the late Alberto Perez and Lorraine (Lavoie) Levesque, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was a animal advocate spending countless hours online with rescue efforts. She enjoyed reading, arts & crafts and music. She leaves a sister, Modesta Levesque and her wife Beth Silvia of Somerset; her beloved nieces, Melanie Medeiros (Bryan) of North Smithfield, RI, and Leslie Pereira (Scott) and Amy Ferreira and her husband Luis all of Fall River; a great-nephew, Codie Pereira; great-nieces, Charlotte and Hadley Ferreira; and her cherished canine companion, "Brady". She was preceded in death by her beloved fur babies, "Coffee", "Shelby", "Bailey", "Gizmo" and "Chuggy". Her funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM at S. Louis de France Church, Swansea. Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations may be made to Swansea Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Rd., Swansea MA 02777. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Auclair Funeral Home.
