Leon Joseph Lapointe

Leon Joseph Lapointe, 89, formerly of Lafayette St., Fall River, husband of the late Yvette (Clairmont) Lapointe, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017.

He was a 50 year service engineer employee of the Fall River Gas Company and served in the Navy. He was a member of the Somerset Ski club, enjoyed skiing, dancing, snowmobiling, jet skiing and boating on the Watuppa.

He leaves four daughters, Annette Felix (Michael) of Tewksbury, Jeanne Emard (Gary) of Swansea, Denise Cyr (Michael F.) of Westport and Claudette Lapointe (Thomas Luiz) of Freetown; grandchildren, Nicholas Emard (Amanda), Stephanie MacNeil (Steve), Benjamin Emard (Alexandra), Christopher Felix, and Meghann Lanneville (David); great-grandchildren, Anderson, Cohen, Blake and Pierce and Lincoln Emard, Rosalie MacNeil and Zachary Lanneville; siblings, Joseph Norman Lapointe of Westport and Lucille Leblanc of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Onesime and Roseanna (Charette) Lapointe and the brother of the late Lionel and Annette Lapointe.

Visitation, Friday morning from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River followed by his funeral mass at St. Bernadette Church at 11:00 AM. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
