Leo O. LeComte, 83, of King Philip St., Fall River, died Monday, October 2, 2006 at Southpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
He was the husband of Eunice (Driver) LeComte.
A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late August and Lizzie (Cyr) LeComte.
He served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for over 20 years, owned and operated the former Globe Hobby Distributors and was employed by South End Auto Supply, Dave's Tire and Notre Dame Cemetery.
A former Fall River park commissioner, he was a member of St. John-St. Stephen Episcopal Church.
Besides his wife of 62 years, he is survived by
a son, Richard LeComte and his wife Doreen of Tiverton;
2 daughters, Nancy Martel and her husband Edward of Warren, RI and Susan Letourneau and her husband Steven of Fall River;
5 grandchildren, Tracey Riley, Brian LeComte, Kevin Martel, Karen Martel and Mandy Letourneau;
4 great-grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Abigail and Benjamin;
a sister, Jane Thiboutot of Fall River
and nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Irene LeComte, Lorraine Rego, Rita Arruda and Theresa Lemaire.
A funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 9:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
Burial, Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
Visitation, Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance located at the rear of funeral home.
