Lawrence "Larry" Rhodehamel

Lawrence "Larry" Rhodehamel, 85, of Portsmouth, husband of Lucille (Lecour) Rhodehamel, died Monday, July 8, 2013. He was employed by Raytheon Company, Portsmouth for 29 years and by Blue Wave Car Wash, Middletown. He was a member of Raytheon Employees Activities Assn. and a Shop Steward and District Delegate of Local 587, International Assn. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union. He was a train buff and enjoyed bowling, gardening and reading the Providence Journal. Besides his wife of 57 years, he leaves 2 daughters, Deborah Albernaz and her husband Paul of Fall River and Diane Rhodehamel of Narragansett, RI; grandchildren, Christina Pereira (husband Christopher), Melissa Catanese (husband Richie) and Gabriella Albernaz; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Alexander Pereira and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Raymond L. and Roxie (Elliot) Rhodehamel and the brother of the late Barbara Peterson and John Rhodehamel. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Bernadette Church, Eastern Ave., Fall River, at 9:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Friday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
