Laurette A. (Houde) Deslauriers, 82, of Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Winslow St., wife of Gerard A. Deslauriers, died Sunday, February 22, 2009.
An accounts payable clerk for the former O'Day Sailboats, she enjoyed her life in Florida, traveling, reading and visiting Foxwoods Casino and was a member of Retired Retailers Assn., Tiverton.
Besides her husband of 61 years, she leaves 5 children, Paul G. Deslauriers of East Providence, Lorraine A. Caine (husband Leo) of Fall River, Pauline M. Ellison (husband Raymond) of Minneola, FL, Claire A. Halladay (husband Jeffrey) of East Providence and Raymond R. Deslauriers (wife Christine) of Fall River; grandchildren, Karyn L. and Matthew R. Smith, Amy L. Deslauriers and Zachary R. Halladay; a brother, Robert Houde of Rochester, NY and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Robert A. Deslauriers; the daughter of the late Alphonse and Ida (Menard) Houde and the sister of the late Marie Jeanne McNerney, Joseph Raymond Houde and Alice Forcier.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 11:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Bernard Church, Assonet, at 12:00 Noon. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham MA 01701 would be appreciated. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com.
