Lauretta G. (Banville) Couto

Lauretta G. (Banville) Couto, 87, wife of 35 years of Albert "Dick" Couto, of Hortonville Rd., Swansea, died at home Friday, June 22, 2007. Born in Baie-Des-Sables, Rimouski, PQ., Canada, the daughter of the late Pierre and Claudia (LeClair) she lived in Fall River for many years and in Swansea for the past 35 years. A member of St. Dominic Parish, she was employed by Flint Sportswear and Servall Mfg. She enjoyed watching baseball with "Couto", camping, playing cards, dancing, completing word search puzzles and watching soap operas. As matriarch, she enjoyed her loving family and her pet Brandy. She was the mother of Louis L. Bouchard, Jr. of Tiverton, Lucille G. Aguiar of Fall River, Anne Marie Bank of Somerset and William C. Bouchard, Sr. of Swansea; the mother-in-law of Linda Bouchard, David Bank, Francine Bouchard; the grandmother of Brenda Calandra, Wayne Bouchard, Joseph Aguiar, John J. Bank, Donna August, Leonard Bouchard, James Bouchard, Sr., Kimberly Underwood, Atty. Chad F. Bank, Ryan Bouchard and William C. Bouchard, Jr. and also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Martha Paquette, Lydia Dubreuil, Florida Desmarais, Azilda Thibeault, Alpheda Berger, Albertine Roy and Alfred, Joseph and Gideon Banville. Her funeral will be held Monday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a mass in St. Dominic Church, Swansea at 9:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA, PORTICO and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at rear of funeral home.
