Laurent Paquette

Laurent Paquette, 85, of "North Farm", County St., Somerset, formerly of Centre St., Fall River and Lepes Rd., Somerset, husband of Jeannette (Gagnon) Paquette, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010. A Navy veteran of WW II, he co-owned and operated the former Slade Laundry. He was a member of Slade Bowling League and a St. John of God Parish Summer Festival Volunteer. Besides his wife of 62 years, he leaves, 2 daughters, Muriel Driscoll and her husband John and Suzanne Vieira and her husband Brian, all of Somerset; grandchildren, Christopher Driscoll and Allyson Vieira; a sister, Colombe Michel of New Bedford and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Louis and Rosa (Desmarais) Paquette and the brother of the late Frances Martin, Clement "Whitey" Paquette, Bernard, Louis and Dominique Paquette and Sister Madeleine Paquette, SSJ. His funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Anne Church, Fall River. Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
