Laura (Carvalho) Martins

Laura (Carvalho) Martins, 84, of Summit St., Fall River, wife of Manuel J. Martins, died Saturday, March 20, 2010. She was employed by Fall River Knitting Mills and RK Pants Co. and enjoyed fishing, boating, traveling, camping, cooking, knitting and crocheting. Besides her husband of 63 years, she leaves 4 children, Thomas J. Martins (wife Linda) of Fall River, David Martin (wife Diane) of No. Providence, Brenda J. Trenholm (husband Albert) of Tiverton and Steven R. Martins of Attleboro; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; siblings, Ernest Carvalho of Westport, MA, Mickey Carvalho of New Jersey, Alice D'Angelo of Warren, RI and Dolores Farias of Swansea; and nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Eric S. Martins; the mother-in-law of the late Gail (Routhier) Martins; the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Cordeiro) Carvalho; and the sister of the late John, Herman, David, Joseph and Arthur Carvalho and Irene Doster. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
