Kathleen Brenda Royds

Kathleen B. "Kathy" Royds, 51, of Fall River, formerly of Somerset, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with Chondrosarcoma since 2009.

A graphic designer, she was employed by Londonderry Graphics and Providence Business News and was a Mass. Board of Substance Abuse Counselor. A member of the Somerset High School class of 1983, she was a varsity athlete in the softball and volleyball teams. Kathleen was an avid New England sports fan. She was a member of the 1977 World Series Little League semi-finalist team. She participated in various New England softball leagues in her adult life and enjoyed spending time with her favorite boys, Cooper and Tucker.

Survivors include her parents, Ralph W. and Charlene D. (Cronan) Royds of Somerset, two siblings, Kevin Royds and his wife Kimberly and Kerin Royds and her wife Karen, 7 nieces and nephews, Samantha, Eliza, Tess, Lily, Spencer, Cooper and Tucker Royds; her companion, Mary Dunn.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, at 10:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Interment, Nathan Slade Cemetery, Prospect St. Somerset.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday morning prior to the funeral from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Kathleen's name to Relay For Life.
