Justin J. Medeiros, (Jus, Gus) 43, of Fall River, husband of Linda (De.Melo) Medeiros, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018.
Besides his wife of 19 years, he leaves four beautiful children, Alyssa, Kendall, Peyton and Luke Medeiros. His grandmother, Doris (Corbin) Frankowicz, uncle, Kenneth Hull, aunt, Cynthia Pacheco, niece, Erika Medeiros, great-niece, Melina Rondon, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Lucy (Raposo) De.Melo, brother-in-law, Joshua De.Melo, sister-in-law, Angela De.Melo, cousins and wonderful friends. He was the son of the late Claudia A. (Frankowicz) Medeiros and the brother of the late Eric Medeiros.
He was a graduate of Durfee High School, class of 1993. He graduated from Roger Williams University in 2006 as an IT Network Technician and recently completed his studies at Trundy University to become a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. You would have made an amazing LDAC Justin. He was a member and lead volunteer at the Peer 2 Peer Recovery Project.
Justin's ability to make everyone feel comfortable, and to make them laugh was his greatest virtue. He had a heart of gold and loved to see his family and friends succeed. He was my soul mate, my inspiration, my handsome, kind-hearted, dear sweet husband.
Anyone who knew Justin knows that his personality and wonderful sense of humor were nothing short of amazing. He had an easy, contagious smile. He loved to eat…seafood platters, clam chowder, chow mein sandwiches, Reese's peanut butter cup sundaes, pistachio and french vanilla coffee… I will be sure to have these once in a while for you. He enjoyed time with his children - playing sports, video games, relaxing on the beach, Six Flags trips, making us all scratch his back, watching our children play sports, family functions, you name it - he enjoyed it. Justin especially enjoyed playing baseball with his son. He was an avid sports fan…Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots and every other sport out there. His favorite holiday was Christmas. He enjoyed putting up Christmas lights, decorating our family tree, but suffered through the countless Christmas movies I made him watch. Justin had faith in God and enjoyed attending church at New Hope Christian Church.
I will miss You…Your face, Your beautiful eyes, Your hugs & kisses, Your smell, Your smile, Your heart, all of You. Stars…perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
Justin, your final Facebook post will remain in our hearts forever:
"Don't let your relationship with God be determined by how others relate with God.
Let it be determined by how focused you are with God."
LUKE 23:43
And Jesus said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise"
