Julius Lee Thomas

Julius Lee Thomas, 73, passed away at Charlton Memorial Hospital Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

He was the husband of Barbara S. (Rachel) Thomas.

Born in Holy Trinity, Alabama, he was the son of the late Dan and Emma (Davis) Thomas.

He served in the Navy for 28 years, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a Vietnam Veteran.

Throughout his military career he was stationed at many places in the United States and overseas.  He had also worked for Quaker Fabric in Fall River.  Julius enjoyed bowling and spending time with family.  He also served with the Fall River Police Auxiliary.

Besides his wife, he leaves four children, Leonard Cowen, Sarah Anne Thomas, Jonathan Lee Cowen (wife Eve) and Paulette Marie Baker (husband Boyd Kenneth Baker); a sister, Shirley Thomas, a brother, Joseph Thomas;

many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Betty Lopes and Marylou Thomas.

Arrangements were private.
