Juliette (Chagnon) Cantin

Juliette (Chagnon) Cantin, 72, of Linda Rd., Tiverton, formerly of So. Main St., Fall River, died Thursday, March 15, 2007. She was the wife of Louis B, "Lou" Cantin. Born in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, the daughter of the late Eddy and Albertine (Marceau) Chagnon, she lived in Fall River for many years and in Tiverton for the past 35 years. She was a member of the former Lincoln Park Skating Club many years ago. Having had Multiple Sclerosis for over 50 years, she was a genuine person who accepted what came her way, persevering with undying patience through the love of God. Being a loving and caring wife she put family and faith above all and was grateful to her loving family, husband, friends and her animals who all accepted her destiny. The family is grateful to the staff of Silver Creek Manor for their loving care. Besides her husband of 49 years, she is survived by a sister, Doris LaRue and her husband Ernest of Fall River; a brother, Normand Chagnon of Laurel, Maryland; 2 godchildren, Daniel Cantin and Rodney LaRue and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George and Oscar "Red" Chagnon. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
