Julia (Esteves Barreira) Barros, 84, of Almond St., Fall River, wife of Manuel Barros, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012. Besides her husband of 63 years, she leaves, daughters, Maria B. Barreira and her husband Manuel P. Barreira, and Rosa B. Martins and her husband Manuel P. Martins, all of Fall River; grandchildren, Cristina B. Tridento and her husband Jay, Natalie B. Martins and her fiancé Christopher Merolla, and David B. Martins; a great-granddaughter, Jordyn E. Martins; sisters, Rosa Esteves of Fall River, and Maria Barreira of Portugal; nieces and a nephew. Born in Vilar de Suente, Soajo, Minho, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Gonsalves Barreira and Maria Esteves Tibeiro; and the sister of the late Manuel Gonsalves Barreira and Joao Esteves Barreira. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, vacationing in Portugal, and spending time with family and friends. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Santo Christo Church, at 9:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation Thursday morning prior to the funeral from 7:30 to 8:30 AM.
