Joyce Mauretti

Joyce (Chicca) Mauretti, 61, of Swansea, formerly of Fall River, wife of Stephen A. Mauretti, died Saturday, May 30, 2015. A BMC Durfee High School graduate, she earned Master's Degrees from SMU-Dartmouth and Leslie College. She also attended Clark University, taught Mathematics at Durfee High School for many years and was a Future Educator of America Club Advisor. She was a Redsox and Patriots fan. Besides her husband of 21 years, she leaves a brother John J. Chicca and his wife Therese of Fall River; many nieces and nephews; a stepson, Justin Mauretti, his wife Vanessa and their daughter, Gia Elisabeth of Cranston, RI; and her husband's parents, Arthur and Phyllis (Pettine) Mauretti of Somerset. She was the daughter of the late Nemo J. and Alice (Martel) Chicca and the sister of the late Nancy Lee Chicca. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church, Beatie St., at 10:00 a.m. Burial, Nathan Slade Cemetery.
