Joyce (Neto) Fortier

Joyce (Neto) Fortier, 52, of Somerset, widow of William "Billy" Fortier, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. A dental assistant for many years, she enjoyed camping by the ocean, basketball, music, cooking, gardening and most of all she loved being with her family and friends. She was the mother of Jillian and Jenny-Lee Fortier of Somerset; the daughter of Ester (Mello) Neto of Fall River and the late Manuel Neto; the sister of Noemia Medeiros (Adrien), Jeremiah Neto (Nancy), Aires Neto (Michelle), Dovalina Leandro (Messias), Rose Martin (Dan), and Jessie Neto (Barbara), all of Fall River, Lena Pacheco (John) of Seekonk, Hilda Wills (late James, Jr.) of Westport, Rosemary Sylvester (Vito) and Lisa Gomez (Paco) all of NJ, Teresa Pineault (Roland) of Holyoke, and Manny Neto (Ana) of Plymouth; the sister-in-law of David and Helen Fortier of Somerset; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
