Joseph D. Souza

Joseph D. Souza, 69, of Swansea, beloved companion of the late Cecile Turriani, son of the late Manuel and Etelvina (Louis) Souza and "stepfather" of Brian Turriani, died Sunday, December 29, 2013. He was employed by Santoro Manufacturing, Bishop Connolly High School and Olin Chemicals and was a Fall River Fire Department Auxiliary Captain and Special Services Lieutenant. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, he had a great appreciation for life and enjoyed helping others. He had a passion for animals especially his pit bull "Kilo". Following cremation, his funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon, January 11, at 5:00 PM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Visitation prior to the service Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to FR Fire Dept.
