Joseph L. Rogers

Joseph L. Rogers, 96, of Fall River, husband of the late Louise (Cabral) Rogers, entered into rest Friday, October 28, 2016.

He was an Army veteran of WW II and Life Member of Post 486, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was employed by Elbe File & Binder, retiring on disability in 1978. He loved fishing and swimming in his earlier years and later playing cards and watching Westerns, his favorite cowboy being John Wayne.

He leaves three children, Michael Rogers and his wife Maria of Fall River, Richard Rogers and his wife Donna of New Bedford and Debra Ritrovato and her husband Thomas of Nashua, NH; grandchildren, Nicole Bernardo, Brenton, Kristin, Craig, Todd and Erica Rogers, Lanea and Aaron Ritrovato, Jennifer Soares, Peter and Aaron Pavao; 15 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Manuel and Mary (Martin) Rogers and the brother of the late Genevieve Pereira and William and Ernest Rogers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass, Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church.
