Joseph "Joe" Remigio

Joseph "Joe" Remigio, 89, of Somerset, husband of Almedina "Amy" (Gouveia) Remigio and son of the late Jose Remigio and Marianna (Sousa) Remigio Costa, died Friday, February 15, 2013. A member of Laborers International Union of North America since July, 1955, he was a road construction supervisor and had worked at the Remigio Family Farm on the Old Quirk Estate in Somerset. He was a member of St. John of God Parish. Besides his wife of 63 years he leaves he leaves his godchild Paula (Gouveia) Doucette, her husband George and their children Amy, James, Riley and Sarah; his brother, Joseph Diogo, his wife, Diane, and their children, Dr. Jason Diogo and Jacqueline Ferreira and many godchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. His funeral will be held Monday, February 25 at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in St. John of God Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
