Joseph M. Prevost

Joseph M. Prevost, 58, of Swansea died Monday, November 4, 2013, surrounded by his family. A carpenter, he owned and operated Nu-Style Home Improvement, Swansea and Solomon House (a men's halfway house), Fall River. He was also employed by Beau's Seating Co. and was an Installation Specialist at Somerset Decorating and a bartender at the Swansea Veterans of Foreign Wars. A member of Local 1305 Carpenter's Union and the Friends of The Landing and Tipsy Seagull, he enjoyed woodworking. He was the fiancé of Donna Jean Amaral of Fall River; the father of Sherrie Prevost Garza (Charles) of San Antonio, TX, Stacy Prevost of Hudson, FL, Robert Ryan Prevost (Kelly Woodyard) of CA, and Ashley Prevost and Joshua Joseph Prevost, both of Fall River; the grandfather of Kayla and Alyssa Furness, Austin Collett and Nolan and Jake Garza; the brother of Diane Prevost-Read of Swansea, Pauline Daunis (Paul) of So. Dennis, the late Jocelyn Atwater (husband James of So. Dennis), Thomas F. Prevost, Jr. (Janie) of Southwick, MA and Normand Prevost of Yarmouthport; the son of the late Deacon Thomas and Evelyn (Rapoza) Prevost; and the former husband of Christine (Biello) Prevost of Fall River and also leaves many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Swansea at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
