Joseph "Ray" Pinsonneault

February 12, 1922 — March 11, 2007

Joseph "Ray" Pinsonneault, 85, of Courtney St., Fall River, formerly of Madison St., died at home Sunday, March 11, 2007. He was the husband of Rita T. (Levesque) Pinsonneault. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (MacMillan) Pinsonneault. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was a gunner's mate with the Navy Armed Guards. He owned and operated Ray's Upholsters and Furniture and was an avid collector of coins and antiquities. He traveled extensively and was a wonderful father to a lucky 7 and a "father" and mentor to many. Besides his wife of 61 years, he is survived by 4 daughters, Claudia Askew of Marion, Janet Andrews of Mattapoisett, Irene Pinsonneault of Westport and Joanne Pinsonneault of Swansea; 2 sons, Joseph Pinsonneault and Raymond Pinsonneault, both of Fall River; a brother, George Pinsonneault of Fall River; 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Levine and James Tickle; a great-grandson, Hunter Levine and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Jeanne Poulin and the brother of the late Mary Brown and Ernest Pinsonneault. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Name Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
