Joseph P. Farias, III

Joseph P. Farias, III, a cherished father, beloved son, devoted brother, and a loyal companion, passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 53. He entered this world on August 9, 1971, and lived a life full of passion, service, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew him.

Joseph was a proud graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School, where he laid the foundation for his strong work ethic and dedication to his community. After completing his education, he served honorably in Iraq in the Marine Corps during Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, attaining the rank of Corporal. His commitment to serving his country only heightened his sense of duty to those around him, which was evident in his career as a correctional officer in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. 

Joseph was known for his friendly demeanor, always greeting those around him with a warm smile and a welcoming spirit. His personality was magnetic; he effortlessly made friends wherever he went, which contributed to a life that was rich in relationships and cherished connections. He found joy in the simplest of activities, whether it was dancing, riding his motorcycle, or testing his luck in a friendly game of gambling. 

He leaves a son, Logan Gary Farias, a mother, Paulette V. (Paulino) Farias, a brother, Michael S. Faria, a niece, Lily Farias, a nephew, Damon Farias, and a significant other, Barb..

He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph P. Farias, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, located at 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA 02721. 

Relatives and friends are also invited to his burial service with military honors which will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 2:30 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
