Joseph A. Michaud, 90, of Carpenter St., Tiverton, died Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center, Somerset. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Perrault) Michaud. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Henri and Josephine (Hamel) Michaud, he lived in Tiverton for the past 65 years. An Army veteran of WW II, he was a postal clerk in Fall River at the Downtown Post Office for several years and then at the South End Post Office for many years. He was a member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks, the Knights of Columbus, Tiverton, the Tiverton Senior Citizens Club, the Retired Postal Workers and the Holy Name Society of Holy Ghost Parish. Survivors include a son, Robert Michaud and his wife Julie of Swansea; 2 grandsons, Robert Michaud and James Michaud; a great-granddaughter, Camden Rose Michaud; and a sister, Doris Scottson of Swansea; He was the brother of the late Irene Raposa, Florida Goulet, Lillian Vieira and Ovila, Leo, Alfred and Ferdinand Michaud. His funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 9:00. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Outreach, 502 Bedford St., Fall River MA 02720.
