Joseph P. Harrington, 74, of Hartwell St., Fall River, formerly of Eastern Ave., husband of the late Alice (Viveiros) Lafleur Harrington, died Saturday, August 30, 2008. He was employed by Firestone Rubber Co. and the Fall River Water Department. A Korean War veteran, he served in the Army for 14 years and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He leaves a son, Timothy J. Harrington and his wife Maryellen of Dennisport, MA; a stepson, Robert H. Lafleur and his wife Simone of No. Dartmouth; grandchildren, Meagan and Sean Harrington, Robert Lafleur, II and Christopher Lafleur; a great-grandson, Gavin Daniel Gibbons and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Patrick and Sara (Jennings) Harrington and the brother of the late Dorothy Goldman, Elaine Raposa, Theresa Charrette and John, Charles and Norman Harrington. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
