Joseph A. Desrosiers

Joseph A. Desrosiers, Jr., 93, formerly of Fall River and Whaler's Cove, New Bedford, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014. An Army Air Corps veteran of WW II, he operated, with his late father, the former Jay Dee Thread Works, Fall River. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and photography. He leaves siblings, Ronald J. Desrosiers and his wife Carol of No. Attleboro and Jo-Anne M. Soares and her husband Jose of New Bedford and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stella Huntley; the son of the late Joseph and Delia (Coulombe) Desrosiers and the stepson of the late Anna (Linnell) Desrosiers. His funeral service will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Saturday prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
