Joseph Russell Daley

Joseph Russell Daley, 83, of Crestwood St., Fall River, husband of Constance M. (Lapierre) Daley, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011. A fire alarm division lineman, he was a 37 year member of the Fall River Fire Department, retiring in 1989. An Army veteran of WW II, he served with Company C, Combat Engineers. He was an active member and past president of Municipal Employees Local 1118, and an executive board member of Massachusetts State Council 93, AFSCME. Besides his wife of 36 years, he leaves two sons, Wayne T. Daley of West Roxbury, MA, and Kelly J. Daley of Fall River; a brother, Norman J. Saucier of Warwick, RI; and nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Marion L. (Read) Daley; the son of the late Thomas J. and Alice (Saucier) Daley; and the brother of the late Roland F. Daley. His funeral mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation and flowers omitted.
