Joseph Arruda

Joseph Arruda, 58, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019.

He was an employee of the Fall River Herald News in the circulation department for many years and also worked as a maintenance technician for the Fall River Housing Authority. He was an avid New York Yankees and  Minnesota Viking fan.

He leaves two sons, Joseph Robert Arruda and James Christopher Arruda, both of Fall River; three sisters, Carol Nawa (husband Paul) of Indianapolis, IN, Joyce Silvia (husband David) of Westerville, OH and Dorothea Eckersley (husband Jack) of Tiverton, RI; a niece, Kathryn Jones and a nephew, Matthew Silvia. He was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Rua) Arruda.

His funeral will be held Thursday, January 9 at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a Funeral Mass at St. Theresa's Church, Tiverton at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Online guest book at AuclairFuneralHome.com.
