Joseph Baker Allen

Joseph Baker Allen, 61, husband of Sheila (Lyman) Allen, of New Bedford, died Monday, December 26, 2011. An EMT, he was employed at St. Luke's Hospital and Norfolk Bristol Ambulance for many years. He also served as a medic in the Army Reserve. Joseph, along with his wife, operated Blondie And The Gigolo karaoke. He was a member of the Taunton Civic Chorus. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Prestley) Allen. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Carla Ranese and her husband Joseph of Raynham, 2 stepchildren, Jennifer Nania and her husband Kris of New Bedford and Ron Thurber III of Brockton; and a grandson, Darrell Nania. Following cremation, a service was held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 2 PM in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St. Fall River. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Taunton Civic Chorus or Winslow Animal Farm, Norton, appreciated.
