Jose Teixeira

Jose Teixeira, a treasured husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, at the age of 92. He was the loving husband of Blandina (Arruda) Teixeira for 67 years.

He was born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores and was the son of the late Manuel Teixeira and Maria (Babilonia) Teixeira.

Throughout his life, Jose enjoyed a variety of hobbies that reflected his creative spirit and appreciation for nature. He was particularly fond of woodworking, where he crafted various projects that brought joy to those around him. In his younger years, he found solace in fishing and took great pride in maintaining his yardwork and caring for his flowers. His home was his castle, a place where he nurtured not only plants but also the love and happiness of his family.

Jose cherished his role as a family man. He is survived by his children, Maria Almeida (husband Joe), Jose Manuel Teixeira, Maria Jesus Moniz (husband Joe), Leo Teixeira (wife Tracy), Rose Teixeira, Libby Teixeira (fiancée Sephora), Carlos Teixeira, and Linda Teixeira. Jose also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his memory and influence.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Teixeira and Maria (Babilonia) Teixeira, who instilled in him the values of hard work and dedication.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River, MA 02721. His funeral will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 9:00 AM, with a service in the Funeral Home at 10:00AM. Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
