Jose R. Ponte

Jose R. Ponte, 56, of Hunter St. Fall River, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Born in Porto Formoso, Sé�o Miguel, the son of Manuel Ponte of Fall River and the late Maria (Carreiro) Ponte, he was a employed by Tillotson Rubber Company. He enjoyed his family, muscle cars and listening to Elvis and Tom Jones. Besides his father, he leaves two siblings, Norbina Sineiro and her husband Daniel of Swansea and Grace Teixeira and her husband Carlos, of Fall River; aunts and uncles, Jose Rodrigues of Fall River, Irene Rodrigues, Blamino Ponte, Conceicao Maurico and Launilde Ponte, all of the Azores and Virginia Placido of Montreal, Canada; nieces and nephews, Veronica Correia (Marco), Daniel Sineiro (Stacy), Jack Teixeira (Jennifer) and Kevin Teixeira; great-nieces and nephews, Domenic and Noah Teixeira, Sydney and Gavin Correia, and Owen and Brody Gaspar; He was the nephew of the late Almelinda Furtado, Conceicao Paiva, Edonio Ponte, Altino Ponte and Ilda Ponte and he was the uncle of the late Irene Sineiro. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church, Columbia St. at 9:45 AM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd. Fall River. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to funeral from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
