Jose A. "Joe" Justa

Jose A. "Joe" Justa, 79, of Somerset, formerly of Tiverton and a native of St. Michael, Azores, husband of Angelina (Resendes) Justa, died Saturday, April 11, 2015, after a short illness. A landscaper, he was a member of Labors Union, Local 610, the Sociedade Cultural Acoreana and Banda Filarmónica Santa Cecilia. Besides his wife of 44 years, he leaves his stepdaughter, Elaine Fennessey of Somerset; siblings, Mary Angel Souza and her husband John and Mary Jo Peixoto and her husband Manuel, all of Tiverton; Georgelina Resendes and her husband Manuel of Westport, Maria Inez and her husband Billy and Salvina Cantrell and her husband John, all of Texas and Hildeberto Justa and his wife Arthemisa of Swansea; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the son of the late Mariano Amaral Justa and Maria Gloria (Araujo) Justa and the brother of the late Marcelina Roias and Manuel Justa. His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. John of God Church, Somerset, at 10:00 a.m. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
