Jonas Jay Cruz

Jonas Jay Cruz, 27, of Rodman St. Fall River, husband of Stacey (Vieira) Cruz, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 26, 2007 at home. Born in Fall River, he was the son of Joseph Souza of Fall River and the late Aida Iris Cruz. An active member of Christian Assembly Church, Seekonk, he was also a member of its baseball team. His hobbies included masonry work, landscaping, singing and tattoo artistry. He was a member of Fall River Flag Football League. He loved spending time with his 2 sons, Isaiah and Elijah Cruz. Besides his wife, sons and father, he is survived by siblings Sarah Botelho, Joshua Cruz, Jeremy Ferro, Jenny Bettencourt, Amy Konen, Joey Souza, Cheryl Taber, Jason Souza, Jerry Souza, Mark Souza, David Souza, Dawn Souza, Christine Wilder and Juan Carreiras, all of Fall River; father and mother in law, Joaquim & Maria Vieira of Swansea, brothers in law Richy Viera of Fall River and Nelson Vieira of Swansea. He was the brother of the late Richard Souza. A funeral service will be held Monday at 10 AM in Calvary Temple Church, 4321 N. Main St. Fall River with burial following in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday from 4 to 8 PM in AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 S. Main St. Fall River; PORTICO, BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE and LARGE PARKING AREA at the rear of funeral home.
