John D. Sweeney

John D. Sweeney, 62, of Tiverton, son of the late Francis L. and Florence A. (LaVallee) Sweeney, died Saturday, April 26, 2014. An employee of Raytheon, Portsmouth and an avid Red Sox fan and horse racing fan, he enjoyed vacationing in Saratoga, Florida and volunteering for various charities. He leaves 4 siblings, Francis J. Sweeney and his wife Connie, Michael S. Sweeney, and Robin A. Sweeney, all of Fall River and Patricia A. Jansen and her husband Ernest of Lake Station, IN and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Cremation to follow.
