John Soares

John Soares, 50, of Fall River, died February 5, 2012. A Durfee High School and Bristol Community College graduate, he was employed by the City of Fall River at the Police Department Headquarters. The brother of Ana Mota (Jorge), Maria Almeida, and Joao Afonso, all of North Providence, RI, Joseph Afonso (Rosa) of North Smithfield, RI, and Michael Soares (Flavia), and David Soares, all of Fall River, and the late Judite Afonso, he is also survived by nieces and nephews, Nancy Bessette (Eric), Christine Almeida, Joey Afonso (Jazmin), Michael Mota (Kristine), and Colin, Samantha, Kasey, Katie and Megan Soares; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. Anne Church, Fall River. Burial, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland, RI. Visitation in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So.
