John F. "Sam" Silvia

John F. "Sam" Silvia, 80 of Fall River, husband of the late Dolores (Pontiff) Silvia, died Friday, May 9, 2014. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was employed by Swan Finishing Co. and Ashworth Brothers. He was the father of John Silvia, Jr. (wife Kacie) of Fairhaven and Linda Fagioli (husband William, Jr.) of New Bedford; the grandfather of Amy and Jack Silvia; the brother of William Silvia, Irene Sylvain, Dorothy Moniz, Helen Carvalho, Hilda Andrade and Alvarez "Sam", Dennis, Raymond, George "Sam" Silvia and Everett "Chief" Silvia and the son of the late Samuel and Delia (Marcoux) Silvia and leaves many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Anne Church at 9:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
