John R. Rua, 36, of Fall River, husband of Melissa A. Rego, passed away December 27, 2020.
A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, he was a letter carrier for the South Main Branch Post Office in Fall River. He was a camper and camp councilor at Camp Kyle for the Fall River Diabetes Assn., a volunteer for Fall River Celebrates America, whom with his father, he brought the HMS Bounty back to Fall River and he also volunteered for Friends of Heritage State Park. He loved being with his family and friends, spending time and playing video games with his son. He was a very devoted father.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his mother, Darlene Sisson; a son, Kaleb Nelson Rua; two siblings, Jocelyn Leigh Briggs (husband Louie Alvin Briggs IV) and Thomas Jay-Edward Lomas and a nephew, Louie Alvin Briggs V. He was the son of the late John "Jack" Rua.
Private funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Auclair Funeral Home.
