John A. "Scrimshaw" Pavao, Jr.

John A. "Scrimshaw" Pavao, Jr., 68, of Tiverton, husband of Janet (Greenberg) Pavao, died Saturday, April 3, 2010. A graduate of Diman Regional Vocational High School, he was employed by General Dynamics. He enjoyed fishing and was a volunteer crew member on the Schooner Heritage out of Rockland, Maine. Besides his wife of 46 years, he leaves 2 children, John Pavao and his wife Jennifer of Kenosha, WI and Kristin Tardie and her husband Mark of Tiverton; grandchildren, Lia and Julia Pavao, Zackary Jones and Nicholas Tardie; and his stepfather, Donat N. Simard of Newport. He was the son of the late John A. Pavao, Sr. and Marie Julie (Medeiros) Simard. Following cremation, visitation in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a funeral service Wednesday at 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
