John Messier

John Messier, 41, of King Philip St., Fall River, formerly of Somerset, son of Doris (Gamelin) Messier of Somerset and the late J. Vincent ‘Vinnie" Messier, died Saturday, March 5, 2011. A graduate of Somerset High School and New England Institute of Technology, he was employed by J & J Marine Fabricating, Somerset. A Red Sox and Patriots fan, nature enthusiast and animal lover, he enjoyed hiking, traveling, concerts, and spending time with family and friends. Besides his mother he leaves nine siblings, Richard Messier and his wife Kathy (Moreira), Donna Dumont and her husband Ed Moreira, David Messier and his wife Nancy (Labouliere), Marc Messier and his wife Pauline (Moreira), William "Vinny" Messier and his wife Sandy (Sardinha), Susan Lorenz and her husband Dr. Robert, Paula Cabral and her husband Keith, James Messier and his wife Deb (Gagnon) and Peter Messier and his wife Jen (Solomito); and numerous nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ann Messier. His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea, at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
