John J. Howarth, 83, formerly of No. Main St., Fall River, husband of the late Gloria M. (Leite) Howarth, died Monday, November 12, 2007.
An Army veteran of WW II, he was employed by the former Prime Kosher Meat Market. He was a member of Christian Life Fellowship, Rehoboth and a former member of the Dover Club.
He leaves, a daughter, Carol A. Saraiva and her husband Pastor Tony Saraiva of Somerset; grandchildren, Michael Saraiva, Kim Mendes and Kathleen Trafka; great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Grace (Pitt) Howarth and siblings, Loretta, Gertrude, Ruth, George, Thomas, Gilbert, Hooper and William.
His funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI.
Visitation, Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
