John F. Duarte

John F. Duarte, 82, of Hill St., Fall River, husband of the late Agnes (Berube) Duarte, died Thursday, April 2, 2009. A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1944 and an Army veteran of WW II, he was Director of Retirement for the City of Fall River for many years. He enjoyed ballroom dancing with his beloved wife Agnes Duarte of 56 years that he cherished and adored. He leaves 5 sons, Brian Duarte and his wife Debra and Steven, Wayne, Alan and David Duarte all of Fall River; 5 grandchildren, Stacey Resendes and her husband Christopher and Brian, Samantha, Tayla and Jonathan Duarte; a great-grandson, Aidan Resendes; an aunt, Aldina M. Terrio and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Agostinho and Maria (Medeiros) Duarte and the brother of the late Manuel Duarte and Olive Soberg.
