John R. Brown, Jr., 71, of Fall River, formerly of Assonet, husband of Ghislaine (Gagne) Brown and son of Martha (Rainey) Brown of Assonet and the late John R. Brown, Sr., died Thursday, April 10, 2014.An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a silversmith employed by Reed Barton, Taunton for 39 years and was a true Tenpin bowling enthusiast for 39 years. Besides his wife of 47 years and mother, he leaves three daughters, Dorene Brown-Ayers and her husband David of Swansea, Wendy L. Lundstrom and her husband Jeffrey of Fairhaven and Tania T. Mazzarella and her husband Matthew of Somerset; six grandchildren, Holly Brown-Ayers, Emily Ayers, Dant Mazzarella, Nickolas Mazzarella, Owen Thomas Lundstrom and Abygale Mae Lundstrom; a great-granddaughter, Avery Mae Ferreira; a brother, Robert A. Brown of Assonet and nieces, nephews and cousins.His funeral service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 PM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Cremation to follow.Visitation, Monday prior to the service from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
