John H.P. Brightman, Jr.

John H.P. Brightman, Jr. 83, of Fall River,  husband of Nancy A. (Desmarais) Brightman passed away Friday, August 20, 2021.

He owned and operated Brightman Lumber Co., of Assonet, where he cherished working alongside his family.  He enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his dog Daisy, his faithful companion who always loved to be by his side. John served in the Massachusetts National Guard.

Besides his wife of 65 years, he leaves, children, Edward P. Brightman (wife Donna) and Patricia A. Brightman and was the father of the late John H.P. Brightman III;

He also leaves grandchildren, John H. P. Brightman,IV (companion Christine Dias), Edward P. Brightman,Jr. (wife Courntney), Dallas J. Brightman; great-grandchildren,Tyler and Sloane Brightman;  two sisters Daisy Iverson and Debbie Cabral, his best friend, Kenneth R. Rezendes; several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late John H.P. Brightman Sr. and Marion (Thyng) Brightman.
